Location and History:

Kukma is 13 KM from Bhuj Taluka in Kachchh District and 343 KM from Gandhinaga. Bhuj, Adipur , Gandhidham, Mandvi are the near by Cities to Kukma. Kukma Pin code is 370105 and postal head office is Kukma.

Kukma, it is one of the 19 villages established by Kutch Gurjar kshatriyas. These kshatriyas first moved from Bikaner to Saurastra in the early 7th century and later a major group entered Kutch in the 12th century and established themselves at Dhaneti.  Most of the early infrastructure, temples and majority of old houses with unique architect were destroyed in the earthquake of 26 January 2001. Kukma has many Kshatriya community’s Kuldevi temples, Parmar Clan: Momai Mataji; Rarhod clan: Chaval Mataji and Chauhan Clan: Brahmani Mataji Temple.
