Ghanerao is a village in Desuri tehsil of Pali district. Ghanerao is a small village which originally belonged to the Mewar district in Rajasthan. Ghanerao is located 74 KM from Pali, 12 KM from Desuri and 344 KM from Jaipur. Desuri, Guda Jatan, Aana, Narlai, Mada are the Villages and Sadri, Bali, Falna, Rajsamand are the near by Cities to Ghanerao.

Ghanerao is located on the Sadri-Desuri road and due to its proximity to Kumbhalgarh fort, Ranakpur Jain temple and Kumbhalgarh wildlife sectuary; it is an important place in tourism with history.
Ghanerao was an economic center during the era of Mewar rulers and was known for its prosperity. On the outskirts of the village is situated a ‘mahanth’ known as Giriji Ki Dhani. There are about 11 Jain temples some of them are quite old; Muchhal Mahavir Temple is the most famous one.
